Bay East Pet of The Month
Tyoga McNamara
2/2010
Tyoga is an 11-½ year old golden retriever who has been a patient of Bay East since he was a pup. He has a personality that will melt anyone’s heart. He’s loving, courageous and a little bit mischievous. Tyoga has earned himself the Purple Heart for his bravery due to the many obstacles he has overcome. As a pup he had TPO surgery on both hips due to hip dysplasia and in 2007 he battled his way through malignant melanoma and a mass cell tumor. After 12 weeks of chemotherapy and lots of hugs and kisses, Tyoga won his battle with cancer and is currently enjoying his “golden” years.
He shares his home with his 9 year old brother Tucker and his 2-½ year old sister Lucy, both golden retrievers. All three love to spend time up north at the family’s cottage swimming, barking at the ducks and going for rides on the pontoon boat.
The care, love and support Tyoga and his family have received over the years from the entire staff at Bay East Animal Hospital goes beyond words. Everyone, especially Dr. Skaletski, will always hold a special place in the hearts of Tyoga and his family. Thank you so much!
Love,
